Wings to Fly 15k/5k Miracle Run

Whether you’re a marathon runner, light jogger, or walker, you can make a difference in the lives of Oklahoma’s children while maintaining your own health. By participating in the Wings to Fly Miracle Run, you will help support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, an organization dedicated to providing funding for pediatric research which in turn helps improve education and clinical care through the support of Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This family event at historic Fort Reno in El Reno, Oklahoma is more than a run. The event will also give visitors a chance to explore the notable structures of Fort Reno and enjoy free entertainment. The 2011 inaugural run generated more than $11,000 for Children’s Hospital Foundation which will directly benefit Oklahoma’s kids.

15K* begins at 9:00 a.m.
5K begins at 9:15 a.m.
Miracle Mile begins at 9:25 a.m.

*15K is a Landrunner series run

Venue
The USATF certified courses take place at Fort Reno. Water, snacks and restrooms are available along the route. Strollers are welcome for the 5K and Miracle Mile.

Standard 5-year age groups

Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female runners in each age group for the 5K and 15K. The top overall male and female finalists in the 5K and 15K will receive special awards. Awards ceremony to follow the event.

Packet Pick up
Packet pick up will be available March 29 and 30 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals office, located at:

Race day pick up begins at 7:15 a.m. All 5K and 15K registrants will receive a race number, timing device, runner bag and T-shirt. T-shirt is not included for Miracle Mile participants but will be available for purchase on race day. We suggest you pick up your packet early.

Pasta Party
On Friday evening, March 30, a pasta party catered by Primo’s will be held for runners ($5) and their guests ($7). Come for an evening of entertainment and fun for the whole family at the Canadian County Historical Museum. Please call (405) 271-9043 for reservations and more information.
